Biography
Lift the Medium is a pure rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio that formed in June, 2013. The band set a goal to create timeless, uplifting music that strikes a positive chord in the minds and spirits of the audience.
Their debut album Mastermind was released in June 2014 at Sonic Lounge Studios. After pushing a very successful campaign and tour they immediately got back to the studio to finish up their sophomore album Moment In Time, which was released in August of 2017. Lift the Medium has received a great amount of accolade in the tri-state area between their Cincinnati Entertainment Award for best rock band of 2017 to the Next2Rock winners of Cincinnati's 96Rock radio station.
The band is noted for it's high energy shows and an ever-growing dedicated fan base. The winding riffs and rhythms are constantly in motion with this band. Every movement is in service to the song, resulting in a more passionate and pointed melodic impact. There is also a lot of diversity throughout Mastermind & Moment In Time, but it’s molded into a cohesive and contemporary sound the group can call its own. Lift the Medium is lead singer/guitarist Joey Vasselet, lead guitarist/singer Joe Bartone, Drummer/pianist/singer Jake Bartone and bassist/singer Lj Lillie.
